Our Objectives

  • To glorify Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior through faithful service unto Him, both in word and action.

    • We believe in one God existing in three distinct Persons all sharing the same essence. God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.

    • Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” (1 Peter 1:3).

    • The Most High God, is the possessor of all true majesty and resplendence. Glory is His by virtue of His nature, and He rightfully refuses to share it with others: “I am the Lord; that is my name! I will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols” (Isaiah 42:8).

    • By virtue of who God is, we have an obligation to glorify God at all times (1 Cor. 10:31).

    • We can, of course, glorify God with our words of praise and thanksgiving. We can also glorify God through our works of service for Him. Jesus said, “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matt. 5:16).

    • Bearing fruit for the kingdom of God also brings glory to Him (John 15:8).

    • To glorify God is to extol His attributes, praise His works, trust His name, and obey His Word. He is holy, faithful, merciful, gracious, loving, majestic, sovereign, powerful, and omniscient—and that’s just for starters. His works are wonderful, wise, marvelous, and fearfully complex. His Word is “perfect . . . trustworthy . . . right . . . radiant . . . pure . . . firm . . . precious”(Psalm 19:7-10).

  • To proclaim the truth in love while remaining faithful to the Holy Inspired Word of God.

    • “All Scripture is breathed out by God” (2 Tim. 3:16 ESV).

    • “Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me “(John 14:6 ESV).

    • “So that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ (Eph. 4:14-15 ESV).

  • To always be a church on mission continually sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ faithfully within our church family, homes, community, and throughout the world.

    • “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you” (Matt. 28:19-20 ESV).

  • To be a worshiping fellowship, experiencing an awareness of God, recognizing His person, and responding in obedience to His leadership.

    • “Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all” (Eph. 1:20-23 ESV).

  • To experience an increasingly meaningful fellowship with God and fellow believers.

    • Jesus said, “By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:35).

  • To help others experience a growing knowledge and relationship with God.

  • To be a church that ministers unselfishly to persons in the community and the world in Jesus' name.

    • Jesus said, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets” (Matt. 22:37-40).

  • To be a church whose purpose is to be Christ-like in our daily living by emphasizing total commitment of life, personality, and possessions to the Lordship of Christ.

Our Beliefs

We affirm the Holy Bible as the inspired word of God and the basis of our beliefs.  This church subscribes to the doctrinal statement of The Baptist Faith and Message as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention in 1963.  We voluntarily band ourselves together as a body of baptized believers in Jesus Christ, personally committed to sharing the good news of salvation to all people everywhere.

Just before Jesus ascended and retuned to his father in heaven, he told his followers, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
— Matthew 28:18-20 (New International Version)
